Tonight airs (on Sky Cinema Oscar at 4.10) «The Untouchables – Gli untouchables», a film by Brian De Palma inspired by the biography of Eliot Ness, the agent in command of the homonymous team of incorruptible investigators who manages to convict Al Capone for tax evasion. The film, with a stellar cast, features several cinematic quotations (the most famous is that of the wheelchair in the station which recalls Ėjzenštejn’s “Battleship Potemkin”) and is full of twists and turns. Costing 25 million dollars, the film smashes the box office and collects over 106 million becoming a cult. Excellent reviews, four Oscar nominations and a statuette for Sean Connery for best supporting actor. While waiting for the airing, here are 10 things you may not know about “The Untouchables”.
