Emma Stone is an American actress and singer who has become one of the most sought-after stars in Hollywood. She first rose to fame with her breakout role as Olive Penderghast in the 2010 comedy Easy A, for which she earned numerous awards nominations including a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actress.
Since then, she has gone on to star in critically acclaimed films such as The Help (2011), Birdman (2014), La La Land (2016) and Battle of the Sexes (2017).
Born Emily Jean Stone on November 6th 1988 in Scottsdale, Arizona, Emma was raised by her parents Krista and Jeff Stone. From a very young age she showed great interest in performing arts; attending theater classes at Valley Youth Theatre and later taking part in community productions such as The Wind In The Willows when she was 11 years old. During this time Emma also began auditioning for television shows and commercials where she eventually landed her first big break: a lead role alongside Jonah Hill on Fox’s hit show “Malcolm In The Middle”. She was then cast as Laurie Partridge in the VH1 series In Search of the Partridge Family (2004). She made her feature film debut in Superbad (2007). She has since appeared in a number of films, including The House Bunny (2008), Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (2009), Paper Man (2009), Easy A (2010), Crazy, Stupid, Love (2011), The Help (2011), Gangster Squad (2013), The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) and its sequel The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014).
For her role in the latter, she was nominated for the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress.
