Halle Berry is an award-winning actress, model, and producer. She has been a staple in Hollywood since the early 1990s and has become one of the most recognizable faces in film.

Berry was born on August 14th, 1966 in Cleveland Ohio to Judith Ann Hawkins and Jerome Jesse Berry. As a child she took dance classes as well as attended acting classes at Karamu House Theater which helped her land her first TV role at age 21 on ABC’s “Living Dolls” series. After making appearances on various television shows and films such as Spike Lee’s “Jungle Fever”, she starred in the hit movie “Boomerang” alongside Eddie Murphy (1992). This was followed by other successful movies like “The Flintstones,” “Bulworth,” and most notably her Academy Award winning performance for Best Actress in 2001’s Monster’s Ball opposite Billy Bob Thornton.

In addition to acting Halle Berry also serves as a spokesperson for Revlon cosmetics, participates in charity work with organizations such as UNICEF, The Jenesse Center (a domestic violence intervention program), Operation Smile, produces films through her production company 606 Films (which produced Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married?), is a mother to two children Nahla Aubry from Gabriel Aubry who she dated from 2005-2010 & Maceo Robert Martinez from Olivier Martinez who she married 2013-2016), currently co-stars opposite Keanu Reeves on John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum ,and recently wrapped up filming Bruised directed by herself where she plays Jackie Justice – an MMA fighter trying to make a comeback after being absent for 6 years due to personal issues.

Over the course of nearly three decades Halle Berry has established herself not only as one of Hollywood’s leading ladies but also an inspiration that dreams can come true if you put your mind into it no matter what obstacles may be presented along the way. Halle Berry is an incredibly talented and successful actress, model, and producer. She has been in the entertainment industry for over 30 years and her accomplishments have earned her numerous awards including an Academy Award, Golden Globe Awards, Emmy Award, SAG Awards, NAACP Image Awards and more.

Born Maria Halle Berry on August 14th 1966 in Cleveland Ohio to parents Judith Ann Hawkins and Jerome Jesse Berry. Growing up she had a love of performing arts as a child which led to her pursuing it at Bedford High School where she was active in the drama program.

After graduating high school she attended Cuyahoga Community College before moving to Chicago where she worked odd jobs while taking classes at the famed Second City improv comedy troupe until 1986 when she moved to New York City with dreams of becoming an actress.

Her career began with small roles on television shows such as Knots Landing (1989) Living Dolls (1989), The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air (1990). In 1991 Halle starred opposite Eddie Murphy in Boomerang which became a box office hit solidifying her status as one of Hollywood’s leading ladies. Since then Halle has appeared in some highly acclaimed films including Monster’s Ball (2001) for which she won Best Actress Oscar making history by becoming first African American woman ever win this award; X-Men Franchise(2000-2019); Die Another Day (2002); Catwoman (2004).

In addition to acting Halle is also involved behind the scenes producing several projects such as Through Her Eyes (2017), Higher Learning (1995), Frankie & Alice (2010). As well as writing executive producing Bruised directed by herself slated for 2021 release date.

Outside of film/television work Halle is known globally for being vocal about social justice issues particularly involving women’s rights, racial equality, gun control laws etc.. She has received many awards related humanitarian efforts such Humanitarian Award from BET Network 2003; GLAAD Vanguard Award 2009; Courageous Woman Award 2010; Harvard Foundation Artist Of Year 2018. Recently launching #BlackWomenLead Campaign inspiring black women everywhere use their voices create meaningful change within their communities.

Continuing push boundaries today Halley continues make impactful contributions both big screen small screen alike proving time again why considered one most influential people entertainment industry today.
