Who is Macaulay Culkin?

Macaulay Culkin is an American actor, musician, and podcaster who rose to fame as the child star of Home Alone. He was born on August 26th 1980 in New York City and started his acting career at the age of four with a role in a stage production of Bach Babies. He went on to appear in several films including Uncle Buck (1989), My Girl (1991) and The Good Son (1993).

His most famous role came when he played Kevin McCallister in Home Alone (1990) which became one of the highest grossing films ever made.

Throughout his childhood, Macaulay appeared in numerous blockbuster movies before taking a break from acting to focus on other interests such as music. In 2003, he formed Pizza Underground, an experimental comedy rock band that covered songs by The Velvet Underground but replaced their lyrics with pizza-themed ones. Despite having limited success commercially they gained some notoriety for their bizarre performances around New York City nightlife venues.

In recent years Macaulay has returned to film roles appearing in movies like Saved! (2004), Party Monster (2003) and Adam Green’s Aladdin (2016). In addition he launched Bunny Ears Media Group along with friend Dan Laikin which produces original content across multiple platforms including podcasts and videos hosted by himself or featuring celebrity guests discussing topics ranging from pop culture to parenting advice.

Today Macaulay continues to act while also pursuing various business ventures through Bunny Ears Media Group alongside hosting regular podcast episodes where he interviews interesting people about life experiences both personal and professional related topics. It’s clear that despite being known mainly for his iconic performance as Kevin McCallister over 25 years ago Macaulay Culkin is still making waves within Hollywood today while also serving up slices of entertainment outside it too.

Culkin first discovered his love of performing when he was four years old after watching a children’s production of The Nutcracker Ballet which inspired him to take up ballet lessons himself. He soon began taking acting classes, leading him to be cast in various small parts over the next few years.

It wasn’t until 1990 when Macaulay landed what would become one of his most iconic roles ever: Kevin McCallister from Home Alone. His performance earned him two Golden Globe nominations for Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy at just 10-years-old!

After Home Alone’s success, Macaulay continued to act throughout the 90s with roles in Richie Rich (1994), Getting Even With Dad (1994) and My Girl 2 (1994). He also appeared alongside Michael Jackson during Jackson’s 1993 Super Bowl Halftime Show performance singing “Black or White”. During this time period, Macaulay became one of Hollywood’s highest-paid actors earning millions per movie role.

In 1997 however Culkin took some time off from acting due to personal reasons but eventually returned back into film projects including Saved! (2004), Party Monster (2003) and Sex & Breakfast (2007). In 2006 he had a brief stint on Broadway appearing as Mark Cohen in Rent before returning back onto the big screen again for Changeland starring Seth Green.

Today Culkin still continues doing work within entertainment by creating content on YouTube where he has almost 1 million subscribers along with being part of The Pizza Underground band which parodies popular songs using pizza related lyrics. All these years later it looks like we are all going get another chance to see our beloved Kevin McCallister once again proving why Culkins legacy will continue living through generations forevermore!
