Matt Damon is an American actor, producer and screenwriter who has gained immense fame in Hollywood. He was born on October 8th 1970 to Kent Telfer Damon and Nancy Carlsson-Paige. His family moved around a lot during his childhood due to the nature of his father’s job as a stockbroker. As an adult he attended Harvard University briefly for two years before dropping out to pursue acting full time.
Damon made his film debut in 1988 with Mystic Pizza but it wasn’t until 1997 that he became widely known after starring in Good Will Hunting alongside Ben Affleck which won them both Academy Awards for Best Screenplay Written Directly For The Screen.
