Shah Rukh Khan, also known as the King of Bollywood, is one of the most iconic movie stars in India and around the world. He has been a part of over 80 movies since his debut in 1992, and is widely considered to be one of the most successful actors ever.

Born on November 2nd 1965 in New Delhi, Shah Rukh made his name by appearing in romantic comedies such as Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (1995), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) and Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003). His success has allowed him to branch out into other genres including science fiction films like Ra.One (2011) and action flicks such as Don 2 (2011). In addition to acting heโ€™s also produced several films under his own production company Red Chillies Entertainment.

In addition to being an actor, Shah Rukh Khan is also a successful entrepreneur with investments ranging from video game companies to real estate ventures. He is well-known for owning IPL cricket team Kolkata Knight Riders who won two championships during their first three years under his ownership. On top of that he runs Meer Foundation which works towards providing education and medical aid for women affected by acid attacks or sexual violence among other causes.

Outside of business Shah Rukh Khan is respected for his philanthropic work across India where he regularly donates money towards charity organizations or visits hospitals when disaster strikes across the country. Heโ€™s also spoken up about social issues like poverty reduction or LGBT rights and was even awarded a United Nations award for raising awareness about climate change back in 2007.

All things considered itโ€™s no surprise why so many people admire Shah Rukh Khan both within India and abroad; not only does he have an impressive portfolio but more importantly he takes time out from his busy schedule to help those less fortunate than himself โ€“ something we should all aspire too!

Khan began his career with appearances in several television series in the late 1980s. He made his Bollywood debut in 1992 with Deewana.
