Sylvester Stallone is an American actor, director, producer and screenwriter best known for his action films. Born in 1946 in New York City, he rose to fame with his iconic role as Rocky Balboa in the 1976 hit film Rocky. The character of Rocky went on to become one of the most beloved characters in movie history and spawned five sequels over a period spanning 40 years.
Beyond the Rocky franchise, Sylvester Stallone has had an impressive career that includes numerous other memorable roles such as John Rambo from First Blood (1982), Barney Ross from The Expendables trilogy (2010-14) and Judge Dredd from Judge Dredd (1995).
